Service terms

What you should know.

These sections describe the basic responsibilities of Road Hero Assistant and anyone requesting our services.

01

Eligibility and authorization

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter an agreement for paid services. You confirm that you own the vehicle or have the owner’s permission to authorize inspection, roadside service, repair, entry, towing, or related work.

02

Services and availability

Services may include mobile auto repair, tire assistance, battery service, lockout help, fuel delivery, diagnostics, EV charging assistance, breakdown support, and towing coordination. Availability depends on location, staffing, equipment, weather, traffic, parts, vehicle condition, and safety.

03

Estimates and final pricing

An initial price before inspection may be an estimate. Final charges may reflect diagnosis, labor, parts, taxes, distance, after-hours dispatch, vehicle access, towing, or additional approved work. We will seek authorization before material additional work whenever reasonably possible.

04

Payment

Payment is due according to the method and timing shown on the applicable estimate, authorization, invoice, or checkout page. You are responsible for approved charges and accurate billing information.

05

Appointments and arrival times

Arrival times and appointment windows are estimates, not guarantees. Traffic, demand, weather, technician availability, earlier calls, and other conditions may cause delays. Provide accurate location and contact details and remain reachable.

06

Cancellations and refunds

Please cancel as early as possible. A disclosed dispatch, diagnostic, travel, cancellation, or restocking charge may apply when costs have already been reasonably incurred. Refund eligibility depends on the service, parts, work completed, and written terms presented with the transaction.

07

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate vehicle, location, contact, and problem details.
  • Disclose known hazards, damage, modifications, security systems, or access limitations.
  • Confirm that you have permission to authorize work on the vehicle.
  • Protect personal belongings and remove valuables before service or towing.
  • Review the proposed service and charges before approving the work.
  • Follow reasonable safety instructions from technicians and partners.
Safety and service limits

Roadside conditions affect what can be done safely.

08 · Emergency safety

Call 911 when danger is immediate

Road Hero Assistant is not a police, fire, or medical emergency agency. For collisions, injuries, fires, crimes, hazardous traffic positions, spills, or immediate danger, call emergency services first.

09 · Repairs and outcomes

Not every problem can be repaired roadside

A roadside assessment may not identify every underlying condition. Temporary assistance may not remove the need for further diagnosis or workshop repair.

10 · Towing partners

Some services are independently provided

Towing may be arranged through an independent partner. The provider’s equipment, pricing, availability, terms, and performance may be governed by a separate agreement.

Safety notice: We may refuse, pause, or discontinue work that cannot be performed safely or lawfully. Do not stand in active traffic or approach a vehicle that is burning, smoking heavily, leaking fuel, or positioned dangerously.

The design, logo, branding, text, graphics, and original materials are owned by or licensed to Road Hero Assistant. They may not be reproduced or commercially exploited without written permission.

13 · Disclaimer

Provided as available

To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted website access, error-free content, service everywhere, exact arrival times, or successful roadside repair in every situation. A specific warranty will be stated separately in writing.

14 · Liability

Limits permitted by law

To the extent legally permitted, Road Hero Assistant will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential losses arising from the website or services. This does not limit liability that law does not allow us to exclude.

15 · Third parties

External providers

Our website may link to maps, payment services, social platforms, partner sites, or other resources. We do not control their content, security, availability, terms, or privacy practices.

16 · Privacy

Personal information

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. By requesting assistance, you authorize reasonable use of relevant details to communicate with you and coordinate technicians or partners.

17 · Changes

Updates to these terms

We may update these terms when our services, website, practices, or legal obligations change. Revised terms take effect when posted with a new last-updated date unless another date is stated.

18 · Governing law

Texas law

These terms are governed by Texas law. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes may be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Harris County, Texas.

Common questions

Terms and service FAQs.

Quick answers about authorization, pricing, towing, and service limitations.

Is a pre-arrival price always final?

Not always. It may be an estimate because the vehicle has not yet been inspected. Material additional work should be explained and authorized whenever reasonably possible.

Can I request help for another person’s vehicle?

Yes, only when you have the owner’s authority to approve the requested work and charges.

Do you guarantee an arrival time?

No. Arrival windows are estimates because traffic, weather, demand, location, technician availability, and earlier calls can cause delays.

Who performs towing?

Towing may be coordinated through an independent partner. Confirm the provider, destination, equipment, pricing, and partner-specific conditions.

What if the vehicle is in danger?

Move to safety when possible and call 911 if there is immediate danger. Request roadside assistance after following emergency instructions.
